One year travelling

inspired by the mani stones we engraved our message in the mountain

We couldn't write for a long time, but here in the high Indian Himalayas communications are hard and electricity comes sometimes only...On 19 August we made one year of travelling and we sunk in memories for this year full of adventures.
We remembered how one year ago, on 19 August we cought the bus to Lulin on the exit of Sofia and waved our thumbs to Serbia withouth knowing where the road is going to take us. One year we carry our home on our backs through the biggest desert, near the highest top, in hot African jungles and cold snowy mountains... in search of wonder places or maybe searching for ourselves...Every step is a new emotion, a new friend, new knowledge, but also a step inward...because we are not making the road, the road is making us...
Evgeni's shoes didn't make it after one year travelling

For one year we crossed 23 countries and we remembered each one of them with good (Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Nepal, India).. so small part of our small planet, but so big part in our small lives.

We remembered our longest hitch-hiking 1500 km and 5 unforgettable days in the funky camper of Ciarra and Simone from Italy; from Morocco throught te desert to Senegal.
We remembered the logest waiting with our thumbs up – 6 hours in South-West France on the road full of empty cars when at the end we had to sleep there.
The quickest hitch-hiking was also from South France – Limoge through Belgium to Rotterdam for one night.
We also admit that we never stop missing our families and friend and everything Bulgarian (esspecially the banica)
But we are happy for everything we've been through, because without the hard moments we cannot appreciate the happy ones :)
our tent is our home already one year...but is now falling apart
One of the longest waiting on the empty road to Kedigu, Senegal
the road continues and we follow it
